President:

Joy Cannon, LPC, RPT

Joy Cannon (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, National Certified Counselor and proud Bobcat with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health from Texas State University & advanced Play Therapy coursework. Her employment has included crisis response, individual, and group counseling with ages 3+ around issues of: counselors in training, family violence, child abuse, sexual assault, divorce, loss, neurodiversity, and complex trauma. She volunteered with family/children's camps at Phoenix Center and Hope Hospice as well as Hope Hospice teen grief groups. Joy owns Inkling Therapy PLLC in South Austin, specializing in groups, intuitive/misunderstood women, children 3-7 years old, and caregivers of people with chronic illness/disability/mental health diagnoses. She is passionate about Solution-Focused Play Therapy and expressive arts in counseling.

Acting Past President:

Shelley Coleman, LPC-S, RPT

Shelley Coleman (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor (LPC-S) as well as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT).  She has 15 years of clinical experience, 10 years of business management experience, and 18 years of parenting experience.  Shelley’s private practice serves children, adolescents, and families.  She provides parent education, play therapy, child and adolescent therapy, and family therapy. She is trained in EMDR, Play Therapy, TF-CBT, New Ways for Families, and PCIT.   Shelley also served for two consecutive years as the HCC-TxAPT Recording Secretary.

Kim Harrington-Delgado, LPC-S, RPT-S, EMDR Consultant

Kim Harrington-Delgado (she/her) is passionate about working with individuals and families to help them overcome everyday obstacles and unexpected events. She brings a wealth of experiences both personally and professionally to counseling. Over the past 17 years, she worked with children and their families as a teacher, school counselor, and in private practice. She has had the opportunity to work with small groups and provide individual counseling as well as parenting classes. In her private practice in Buda, she has extensive experience with ADHD, anxiety, learning disorders, oppositional behavior, and trauma.

Colleen Bardelli, LPC, LMHC, RPT

Colleen (she/her) has 13+ years of experience working with children, teens, and their families. Colleen received her Masters in Counseling from Northern Vermont University and is a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC) and Registered Play Therapist. She currently works in private practice in South Austin offering individual therapy to children, teens, and emerging adults. Her practice focuses on supporting individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, gender identity and expression, sexuality, disability, and/or life transitions. Colleen’s approach is deeply rooted in curiosity, developing relationships and accessing compassion, while using her training in play therapy, expressive arts, mindfulness, CBT, and DBT.

Rosalie Piedra, LPC, RPT, IPT-CST

Rosalie Piedra is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Play Therapist (RPT), and Institute for Play Therapy Certified Sandtray Therapist (IPT-CST). She has 6 years of clinical experience and has worked for group practices in New Braunfels, South Austin, and now owns her own group practice, Mindful Connections Counseling. Rosalie has a passion for working with children and teens that started during her undergraduate program at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth,TX. She has experience working with middle school and high school students during her time as an intern with AVID and in working with elementary students as a bilingual PreK and 2nd grade teacher. She is also a former elementary school counselor in Austin ISD, having served in this role for 5 years upon graduating with a degree in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. In her current role, Rosalie provides parent education, play therapy, family therapy, and trauma therapy to clients of all ages. She enjoys incorporating additional techniques and approaches such as EMDR, sandtray, and soon animal-assisted counseling.

Stephanie Garland, LPC, RPT

Stephanie Garland (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. Stephanie has previously worked as an elementary school counselor for 18 years with the majority of this time spent serving the Austin community. She is also a former special education teacher and has a strong interest in supporting neurodivergent children and their families navigate school settings. Stephanie obtained her Masters of Arts degree in Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Stephanie is particularly interested in the approaches of Autplay and Nature Based Play and Expressive Therapies.

Social Media Liaison:

Lindsay Racino, LPC, RPT

Lindsay (she/ her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and Texas State graduate with a Master’s in Professional Counseling. She has over 8 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Her work experience has included inpatient care, school-based therapy and private practice. She currently owns a solo private practice in Cedar Park offering individual therapy to children, teens and young adults. Lindsay’s practice focuses on supporting individuals and families struggling with issues related to anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, life transitions, parenting, divorce, and teen dating. Lindsay joined the HCC-TxAPT Board as the social media liaison in 2023.
